I tried to set an appointment with my primary care doctor at mayo.
It was a few months out.
They told me to go to urgent care.
I went to urgent care, after waiting 4 hours and seeing the Dr. They said I should go to the ER. The mayo ER was closed with too many people.
They told me to go to a different hospital.
That was the best advice Mayo has ever told me.
I’m now at Sacred Heart Hospital.
I won’t ever bother to go to Mayo ever again .
Mayo is such a waste of my time and money.
They will keep seeing you and charging you ,but never help you. They just keep passing you around to other Doctors and even other hospitals. Need to attract and keep more experienced and qualified providers, especially for specialty areas. Many have left or retired and not been replaced .
Billing issues are consistent with creative coding that results in something not being covered by insurance when it should be.

Specifically requested a PCR test for travel but results did not read PCR test on the results and was denied at airport. Contacted them from airport and would not fix. Had to obtain a new test for $205 at airport to make my flight. Contacted the clinic thereafter and advised them that it was not possible to travel with their test and still would not remove from the bill. They instead indicated that the doctor referred me for the PCR test and therefore it was billed as such. My Primary Care Physician at the Marshfield Clinic Oakwood is Dr. Brenda Moore. She is a very knowledgeable Dr. She is always serious in her approach, to the best treatment. But she also has a fun and lighthearted sense of humor. I moved to EC last October 2020, looking for a doctor. After one encounter, i knew I’d found a great doctor. I have always been a Sacred Heart Hospital girl…… But I just might be changing my mind!! My doctor took very good care of me (he even gave me flowers) and the nursing staff was amazing!

Finally on the mend after ending up in the ER last night with the most horrible headache. Got a migraine so bad I was projectile barfing for like 5min straight. Doc said the muscles surrounding my neck fusion were so rock hard even if he did inject lidocaine in to it, the medicine wasn’t going to get anywhere. So a shot of toradol some muscle relaxers and a lidocaine patch helped tremendously. Thank goodness for the angels at Marshfield ER. They did many tests and short of an electrolyte imbalance, everything is good. They were so wonderful. I finally broke down and cried and cried telling them about this strange journey I am on. But it is my journey and I’m gonna make every day count! Every. Single . One.
Gonna enjoy this Fall like I never have! 🍁🍂🌾

Scheduling is an absolute mess. Multiple times now I’ve had referrals go un checked for weeks at a time. Mri but no follow up to go over results. Seems like the communication between departments is terrible, one will say one thing, another will say something completely different. Simply put, DO BETTER FOR YOUR PATIENTS!! If Mayo clinic would even see me I would definitely think about switching…

Went it about a week ago with serious migraine and sinus pressures. The specialist said everything looks fine she did blood test pee test. A week later which is today i woke up with a 103.2 fever. Now im in a whole of about $1k + as i dont have insurance. The specialist said go home take some ibuprofen youll be fine. They’re obviously just here for a paycheck then off to the next patient. This is the worst hospital ive visited . Im trying to get better but i feel discriminated. Im from Minnesota and i moved to Eau Claire, people look at me different im assuming because im mexican with a nice mustache, and just write me off and make thing more difficult for me. What am i paying for? This is so frusterating. 0/5 stars
