  1. Please note that the pharmacy will be closed at the lunch times included in photo but open 24 hours when the stores closed but doesn’t say this online therefore, myself, as well as two or three people show up. 2-3 others show or pass by in autos while I’m sitting here taking pictures having arrived thinking it’s open inside. It is not. It closes at an unknown time probably 10:00 p.m. tonight before it opens at 6:00 a.m. the next morning for the inside store. The pharmacy drive thru is open.

  2. Website states they are open 24 hours but they aren’t. Also they allow you to book 10pm vaccines and then cancel them. Has happened multiple times. I’ll stick with Walgreens.

  3. Listed as 24 hours and has a nice big 24 hour sign in front. When I arrived they were closed and would not open until 6. Just a great feeling at 2 in the morning with a sick child to drive over and see that I wouldn’t be able to get their medication.

  4. The 24 HR store art 2222 Bardstown road is awesome. The people there make extra efforts to assure that you leave with everything you came to get.
They’ll take all the time you need to answer any questions you have. No, they don’t always answer the phone because they are busy helping the person standing in front of them. If they didn’t have anyone to work that night the store won’t be open, just go to drive thru and request what you need.

  5. Pharmacy is horrible. They never answer the phones. Take forever to fill a prescription. Staff is usually unfriendly.

They also seem to make up their own regulations on controlled substances — My prescription refill dates seem to be different every month and change based on who’s working/the mood of the pharmacist. Have since switched to Walmart and experienced 0 issues.

The absolute worst experience EVER at a pharmacy. This is NOT the fault of the ONE pharmacist tech working there on February 13 and 14, 2023. Something is seriously wrong with how CVS is managing these pharmacies. Waited in line for two days in a row for almost 40 minutes just to pick up a prescription. Talking to others in line (some of whom were elderly, disabled and/or sick and shouldn’t have been out at all, but the drive-through was closed) and everyone said the same thing. I stood in line yesterday because they had shorted me 20 pills on a 90 day prescription. No one answers the phone. I’m not exaggerating. What would happen if someone died because they couldn’t get their medication, nor could they talk to an actual pharmacist to help them get their medications? The DEA should shut down this ridiculous excuse for a pharmacy. Fortunately, I don’t depend on a medication to stay alive, but I’m shocked at what truly sick or frail people are having to put up with from disengaged corporate travesties like CVS.

Worse CVS location Ive ever dealt with. The service here is awful. Takes multiple days to get a prescription. They don’t care if it’s urgent. When a prescription is sent electronically from Dr office they often automatically put the prescriptions on hold where they sit in limbo in their system. They don’t answer the phone in the pharmacy so to ask them to take medicine off hold it requires going to the store, only to be told you will be contacted when it’s ready, usually a day or two later. Many times only the drive through is open with 15 or more ppl waiting in line. Employees are stressed and rude. There is a constant turnover of pharmacists and staff. I would switch but this is who my insurance uses so I’m stuck with CVS for now.

The hours here are extremely unpredictable and don’t align with what is online. I had to make 3 visits to pick up my prescription. No one answers the phone. When I did catch the pharmacy open, there were orange cones that blocked the drive thru indicating the pharmacy would close at 5pm (it wasn’t quite 4pm when I arrived). I was able to go around the cone and waited in line. I FINALLY got my RX. Thankfully, it’s not a life dependent medication.

I’d give zero stars if I could. People, do NOT switch your prescriptions to this branch. Back in November or December I was told that all/most of the pharmacy staff had quit. They were only taking customers at the drive-through. Well, sometimes we have to actually TALK to the staff about things. And God help you if you want to call them because you will NOT get a call through in less than an hour. So then you drive up, find out you can’t talk to them in the building, so you get in the horrendously long drive-through line just to talk to them. This makes the line even slower.

I needed to tell them to stop auto-refilling my prescriptions because I’m changing pharmacies (for obvious reasons). I had to take up space in the drive-through line because they can’t keep staff.

I don’t get it. We have Walgreens and CVS practically on every corner in Louisville, and the service is terrible at most of them. I’m switching to mail order on my scheduled meds and am moving acute medications to another store where I can get meds filled less than 15 minutes from the time the doctors send them in.

My family and I had appointments for flu shots. We scheduled them on the CVS website over a week before. I received emails and texts (many of them) confirming our appointments over the past week and the morning of our appointment. I took time off to go to the appointment. I woke the kids up early for the appointment. We get to the store and a pharmacy staff member (1 of at least 4 that I saw), and they tells us that they only have two lab techs present and that they can’t give us our flu shots. They claim that I received an email telling us this. I didn’t. I got email and text communications telling us to show up and how to check in. Regardless, they were unwilling to give us our shots. The lady told me two times that they were not going to give us our shots because of low staff. THe lack of concern was disappointing. Note: at the time we were in the store, there were no customers in line.

If you choose to book an appointment with this store, be prepared to call ahead or be turned away.

This CVS is sarcastically bad. I travel for work, & I have had medications filled at CVS’ across the country. In general, I find Kentucky pharmacies to be seriously lacking in efficiency compared to most other states.

I mean no rudeness to the staff. They can be short & rude, but they are all obviously over-worked & just trying, I’m sure, not to walk out everyday. If they would all quit together, then something would have to finally be done. Sometimes things have to reach a breaking point before higher-ups pay attention. I can’t even imagine the rude costumers they must have to deal with. It’s so disheartening to work so hard, but still face constant scrutiny from costumers, because your team isn’t given the staff & tools it needs to succeed.

They don’t answer the phone. Not ever. I’ve had issue with my work place verifying my drug screens because of this. Not to mention, I can’t request my medication refills by phone. Controlled substances are t able to be requested via the CVS app, so you have to physically go to the store to request refills. They don’t automatically fill medications sent from your doctor that day like most pharmacies would. You have to sit in the drive thru, for literally sometimes hours to just request a medication refill, even if your Socorro faxed it over three days ago. Then you get to return two or three days later to sit in line again. They don’t allow people to come inside for the pharmacy & they have that wall blocked off. More than once, I’ve sat in the line for almost an hour only to FINALLY arrived at the window & read a sign that said something along the lines of “we are closed today because of staffing issues” it’s really really really bad.
I’m an empathetic & patient person, but I won’t be having my prescriptions sent here, or to any CVS for that matter, again. Our family has had much better service from Sam’s Club. The prices are great too. To help, I’ll start having whatever medications I can, sent to me by mail. I’m hoping if enough of us to that, we can take the strain off of pharmacist & pharmacy techs at monopoly pharmacies.

I worked here for less than 2 months, and quit because of how rude and unprofessional the lead tech and pharmacist are. They were rude to customers and treated employees horribly. They showed daily favoritism to each other as well as a tech that had left several weeks after I had started working there. I only took the job because the previous pharmacy manager promised me CVS had become a better place to work than the years before when I had worked at a different location; but after my 7 grueling weeks working here I realized that CVS in general wasn’t the problem it was the lead tech and pharmacist at this particular location. They couldn’t keep new employees for longer than a couple months due to their nasty attitudes and condescending tones. I hope this information gets back to the district leader so he can send both the lead and pharmacist to sensitivity training, because they are running off their employees.

This particular CVS pharmacy at 3700 Bardstown Road is an absolute disaster. Takes them multiple days to fill prescriptions. Wait times in the drive thru and inside are always 45+ minutes. The staff there seem completely apathetic and unmotivated. They tell me all the time they are out of my meds and I have to go to another CVS to get them filled. Then when I ask them to please check one more time for those meds, they are always magically found and filled. I get text after text asking me to update my insurance info when I have already done so several times with several different staff members. I don’t know if the people that work here are just plain incompetent or don’t care…or both. But they have GOT to get it together.

Update: Currently in the drive thru lane waiting to pick up meds that I HAVE to get this evening. There are about 15 cars in front of me. Line hasn’t moved in almost 10 mins. This place was also closed by 5pm on Sunday (even tho pharmacy hours are listed until 7pm, but I guess what does that matter?) AND they were randomly closed all day yesterday because…it was Columbus Day? I guess? I will be switching all of my meds to a different location. This is absolute insanity.

The pharmacy on this location should get no stars at all for their incompentency. Only drive-through works and waiting time in the drive through line is aproximately 40-50 min!!! Soooo , slow like every of their employee eat a turtle soup for lunch every single day.
Today I got a text message at 6 pm and went there to pick up my medicine but they told me that they close at 7 PM !!!!
This pharmacy worked 24/7 and they out of blue announced that they will work till 9PM.
Suddenly, they decided to close at 7 PM without informing costumers about a new schedulle. First, I waited 7 days for refill and when it was finally ready they decided to change their working hours! At least update it on your website so we know before we ho to your store! Horrible costumer care. Zero stars.

This pharmacy is awful, I’d give no stars if it were an option. Just recently, they messed up my prescription, said it had no refills when it does. Called to try and get it filled and waited on hold for 45 minutes then gave up. Drove to the pharmacy to try and get to the bottom of this, and they were CLOSED at 7pm on a Monday! Do better–people are probably DYING because you all make it impossible to get meds from here!
