Excellent service from manager, Angel. Excellent friendly, helpful, humble staff that helped me with a return. The pharmacist is also lovely. He stopped what he was doing to get me a price on a Christmas decoration when I was shopping and the pharmacy was not very busy. Never have I experienced such excellent service. Great job, Perkins Rowe team!!! I will be back.By Victoria Taravella (3 months ago)I have a issue almost every time I come to pick up a prescription here. The customer service at this location has really went down. Never answer the phone, drive thru is always closed, and prescriptions never ready when they’re supposed to be. I came to pick up a prescription that was supposedly ready and asked a question about the price. Was then told because I had a question about the insurance I now had to wait 30 minutes for the prescription to be refilled. What? That makes no sense. Very sad.By Christina Edwards (a year ago)There’s always a wait. You have to call the pharmacy and wait on hold for 10+ minutes to initiate refills for e-scripts because they don’t monitor and fill them automatically.By Payne Trichell (a year ago)Literally the worst cvs in america. Waited for 2 hours in the pharmacy drive through. There were only 2 cars. And i was told they didnt have my medication ready despite the fact my doctor called it in yesterday and i after i received a text 24hours later saying that my prescription was readyBy Charles Genovese (7 months ago)Minute Clinic? More like Hours clinic! I have been here since 10:30,my appointment was for 10:50. There was only 1 patient in-front of me and on the queue to go before me, she was in and out in less than 15 minutes leaving me to wait! It’s almost 11:20 and I still have not been seen! Will not ever be coming here again, will not recommend.By Thomas Watson (10 months ago)

This is the worst CVS I have ever used in my life! While I’ve never had a problem with cashiers up front. It has been problem after problem with the pharmcy in the back. First of all they need to hire more people because the line to pick up medication is always long and it takes forever to get one persons medication and check them out. Nobody seem to have a clue about whats going on around them and no effort is ever exerted to provide customer service or fix a problem. Last month I droped off my prescriptions at the window around 12:00 noon. I was told the prescriptions would be ready for pickup in about 2 hours. I later returned to CVS about 30 minutes before closing to pickup my prescriptions and the lady at the window, after searching for a long time, told me she couldnt find them and there wasn’t any notes or records of them in the computer. I tried to remain calm because I knew it wasnt her that took them from me earlier. I asked her to have the pharmacy manager contact me the following day. On the following morning the same girl from the night before called me, not the manager as requested, to tell me they found my prescription in the printer/ copier machine. So you are telling me that in 9 hours, 12:00-9:00 p.m., that Im the only customer whos prescription needed to be photocopied? Really?!?! So then I went back to CVS to pickup my prescription and the woman from the day before was working the window again. She asked for my name, I gave it too her. Then she asked from my birthday and I counldn’t hold back so I replied, “its the prescription you lost yesterday!” She snickered and went on about her business to get the prescription and check me out like nothing was wrong.
I’m so pissed that I never got that phone call from a manager to apologize from the embarrassment I went through because they lost my prescription. Imagine what people think of you when you show up at the pharmacy to pick up your controled substance and they are looking at you like you are crazy or some kind of a junky because they have no record of a prescription.By Jeremy Thompson (4 years ago)The pharmacy is ridiculously SLOW….expect what I was told to be a 30 minute wait is now going on 3 hours. DO NOT use this store.By Chris Reine (5 years ago)Love CVS on Jefferson Hwy at Bluebonnet Blvd. Jackie at RX counter is the best. Only issue is a call to CVS is most frustrating. Grrrrrr. Fix that..get a person to handle calls only. You can afford it. Yes. The other thing I would like all Rx’s to be filled at the same time. I no longer drive. Daughter comes from out of town to pick up Rx’s. So will not give you a 5 star rating. 4 yes. Work on this. J. Claire French. 8655 Hill Drive.By Claire French (5 months ago)I literally never write reviews, but I feel like I have to. I come here all the time bc i live right down the street. There’s a new guy, I think his name is Arthur, and he has such an upbeat, friendly attitude. He made my day, even just talking to him for a minute to get some help!!By girl bye (a year ago)I recently moved in this area and I love going to this store. They have the nicest sweetest cashiers anyone could ever ask for. I’ve come in contact with at least three and they are amazing.By T. S. (11 months ago)

That’s it for our list of the best CVS in Baton Rouge LA! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
“24 hours” should be changed to “when it’s convenient.” I don’t know what it is about Baton Rouge CVS’s but they either close early or just close altogether when they’re supposed to be open. In my many years in California I’ve been to CVS at all times of night and day and they never had one issue ever. Well fast forward to here and at 2:30 am there’s a nice sign on the door “In stock room back in 30 min” with a happy face on it. I guess if I was asleep I’d be happy too. Safe to say they had one person on duty since there was one car in the lot. 2 customers came and left while we waited a few minutes. We saw one of them over at Walgreens across the street. And get this: they have TWO people working the late shift at Walgreens, so if one goes on break they can still be open. Crazy right?!. Avoid this CVS if you can… or better yet just don’t have faith in their hours of operation.
There are no words that describe how unprofessional, rude, nasty, and trashy this pharmacy is. If they don’t fill your prescription on time, which is every time, they simply do not care. No one behind the counter has any sense of urgency. Honestly, they way they act and speak to customers, I straight up don’t even trust them to fill my prescriptions correct anymore. CVS should shut this pharmacy down, fire everyone, and start over. I told the PHARMACIST what I was picking up and I got a “what even is that” in return. I was speechless. I’ve been getting the same prescription there every 28 days for over a year. I have officially changed locations and I hope to never be back. They are all incompetent.
Pharmacy staff told me they were no longer accepting drop-offs since their entire staff quit (after a 45 min. wait). Second only to dealing with this pharmacy and its staff, is having to wait for assistance at the self-checkout machines. Both self-checkouts are obnoxious and force shoppers to contact the staff (who are about as useful as the machines) to complete purchases.
I went in to buy something to drink and I was waiting in line to check out and an employee came up to me and asked if I was ready and he pointed to the self check out and I asked if I had to use it and he asked if I was using cash or card I told him a card and he said yes I had to use the self check out. That was not professional so they lost a customer. On 1/17/2023 I went to CVS and I wanted a cashier to check me out and the manager told me I had to use the self check out. I do not understand why an employee could not do that.
Rude women with disgusting customer service skills. everyone reading this go to the Walgreens across the street never had problems there. Those women must’ve applied and didn’t get the Walgreens job.
