I was trying to obtain medication for my 90 yr old mother on Wednesday. Once it had been called in from the doctor’s office I was told by CVS I could pick it up that afternoon. Once there I was told that afternoon the pharmacy didn’t have it in stock. They said it would be ready on Thursday. Thursday arrived and I was unable to purchase her medication as they stated it had been called to Express Scripts mail order pharmacy. ( I called express scripts by phone and obtained a waiver.) I entered the CVS store a 4th time and requested the medication be run through the computer again. They informed me it could be filled but would be several hours before it could be filled. A black lady on the phone always huffed and puffed when asking an appropriate question and “having to make her work”. And most especially the Asian pharmacist that was working, Sunday, November 6th. Sometimes they act weird when I ask to flavor it and say it’s already flavored, then this month it happened again. I left, got home and it’s not flavored. Kids are not going to drink unflavored antibiotics. The lady that worked the closing shift last night should be absolutely ashamed of herself! My best friend had ordered some photos thru the app of her father whom she is putting to rest today only to show up BEFORE the doors were even locked and told she couldn’t help her cause she had no drawer so my friend explained she needed these photos for her late father’s funeral service today and had already paid for them thru the app all the lady had to do was get them for her my friend even offered to pay her double personally to get them for her so she could have them for the service STILL this woman refused talk about HEARTLESS and LAZY who is that cold they have no compassion for the situation they can’t be bothered to walk 15 feet to grab her photos and save her dad’s final farewell?!? You know who you are and you ought to be completely ashamed and selfish you couldn’t be bothered. Clearly you never lost a parent and if you have you are a just a disgusting person. I will be there at 8am to get those photos and I will be speaking to the manager and if I gotta go up the ladder I will cause it was unnecessary for her to make what is already a painful and very difficult day saying goodbye to her father that much worse. I would be embarrassed to say you was my employee. Thankfully Walgreens saved the day even going so far as using there personal phone to help as well as made sure we had some photos for the service . They do NOT have pharmacists trained to administer covid tests, but they SURE do accept appointments for covid testing! : ) After they turn you away, you can’t make another appointment at a CVS that does have properly trained staff for at least 24 hours!! Be careful when choosing a store! In my case the website chose this store for me! After waiting for the cashier to show up, she told me the restroom is out of order. How can a drug store with older and possibly ill, people not have a restroom available? And why wouldn’t the pharmacy which is right next to them know of this? I think the cashier just couldn’t be bothered getting me the key.

These poor employees have to listen to that robot call over the intercom non stop. They have way too much work and obviously no access to get simple medications filled. CVS should be ashamed of how they equip their staff. I can normally get my usual pharmacy to fill my prescriptions within 24-48 hours and they didn’t have my NEEDED medications for days. I went there thinking they might be quicker and was terribly wrong. NOT THE FAULT OF THE STAFF THEY WERE AWESOME. The system kept giving them false information.
The last 3 times I have came to pick up my prescriptions I waited in line for over 45 minutes to an hour! Extremely understaffed and in organized! It is ridiculous, it doesn’t matter if you go inside or drive up you will wait!! The automatic refill system doesn’t work either. If I don’t call directly my prescription is not being refilled as the automatic system is supposed to do. I will be looking for a new pharmacy!
This is by far the best “Big Chain” Pharmacy in or around Dothan. The night manager and employees are extremely kind, helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond and you don’t get that hardly anywhere these days so I wanted to leave a review to show my appreciation! Thank you guys for being so kind in a world of unkind🥰

This is the WORST pharmacy and pharmaceutical experience I have ever had. After waiting for 30mins I finally received assistance and then it took another 30mins just waiting on the “manager” to sign off on my prescription. The only reason I went to this location is because my insurance no longer covers the Walmart pharmacy (which is by far superior to this one).
